Phillippe Pasqua
Brush to canvas like a nail to a chalkboard, Phillipe Pasqua bears into the souls of his subjects, exposing all their flaws and insecurities as he amplifies their image on a gargantuan scale. Finding beauty in humanities vulnerability, as he analyses a wide spectrum of individuals from a plethora of back rounds and varying states of health, through his abstract, impressionist portraits.
Working over a trio of artistic mediums (Painting, Illustration and sculpture), Pasqua’s subject matter is as inclusive as his modes of artistic expression. Using his works as a celebratory platform for the artistically underrepresented communities, including depictions of Transgender, disabled and even pregnant models.
