THE VEIL

Blanc magazin & WME Fashion Incubator present The Veil

Over the past several months, Blanc Magazine partnered with WME Fashion on their Incubator program – a three-month in-person development and exposure program that aims to disrupt and diversify the fashion industry by offering opportunities rooted in three pillars: industry access, education, and community. This program is uniquely developed for individuals exploring both creative careers and executive careers in fashion.

Over six sessions, a 21 participants heard from industry talent and executives such as Wisdom Kaye, Dara Allen, Kelly Cutrone, Alexis Bittar, Cruz Valdez, Teneshia Carr (EIC, Blanc magazin), Justin Moran (formerly EIC, Paper Magazine), Kristen Naiman (Chief Brand Officer, The Real Real), and many others. To capitalize on a social-first industry, participants also heard from the Meta Beauty and Fashion Partnerships team, including Helena Suric, Kristie Dash, and Larissa Gargaro. WME Fashion prides itself on ensuring mentees leave with business, legal, creative, and networking acumen that propels them into the next phase of their careers.

The WME Fashion Incubator, originally titled The Wall Group Incubator, was founded in 2020 to disrupt the fashion industry from a racial and access perspective. Our collective goal at inception was to offer underrepresented creatives and executives a look behind the curtain at what it truly takes to succeed in fashion. To this day, five cycles later across NYC, LA, and London, WME Fashion continues to open doors, upskill professionals, és, most importantly, create community. WME Fashion's editorial partnership with Blanc Magazine offers participants the opportunity to be published in an industry-leading publication that champions emerging talent. This collaboration not only elevates mentees’ visibility but also reinforces the Incubator’s mission: to create pathways and spotlight the next generation of visionaries shaping the future of fashion.

Produced by PRODn, the production division at Art + Commerce, this shoot served as a dynamic opportunity to showcase the cohort’s talent, collaborative skills and creative range. Known for their work on high-impact campaigns with Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, the Met Gala, and iconic fashion editorials with Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, and Carlijn Jacobs, the PRODn team worked alongside the WMEF Incubator Mentees and partnered with industry legends Pier 59, MHS Artist, and Chroma NY to bring the cohort's creative visions to life.
