Zadie XA
Born in Vancouver, Xa studied at the Emily Carr Institue of Art in Vancouver and then at the Royal College of Art and Design in London were she is currently based. She uses multiple mediums such as performance, video, paintings and textiles to portray her art. The artist presents self conceptualised identities and her experience within the Asian diaspora within her artwork. Zadie Xa aims to reintegrate European perceptions of Asian identity and aspire alternative Asian identities within her mystical presentations of art.
