On February 5th, the first night of New York Fashion Week, Blanc Magazine threw an exclusive opening celebration packed with over a thousand guests at the legendary Top Of The Standard High Line, replete with dazzling views of the Hudson and makers and shakers from fashion, art, and music.
Feted with bottle service from sponsor Perrier- Jouet, the lounge was abuzz with models, musicians, influencers, emerging designers, and editors. Creatives filled the glittering room and danced to DJ’s and a moving, live musical performance by Nigerian by-way-of-London Designer/Dancer/Singer Wunmi, who danced and sang to body-moving rhythms and delighted the audience at the festivities highlighting diversity and inclusion.
Blanc’s launch of next-gen Global Fashion Community focused on bringing awareness of potential in this colossal audience of diverse and underrepresented international communities with a multi-ethnic, gender-neutral, group of some of the most creative and innovative minds in fashion, culture, and media today.
Special Guests included “Hamilton” (musical) new leading star Krystal Joy Brown, the filmmaker of “I Am You,” Sonia Nassery Cole, principal dancer for The Martha Graham Dance Co, Lloyd Knight, Emmy Award-Winning celebrity hair designer and creator of the Crown, Hadiiya Barbel, Opera/Broadway singer Alyson Cambridge and Andrea Gibau, the newly crowned Miss New York USA 2020.
At the nexus of Art, Fashion and Music, Blanc Magazine reflects and represents the beauty and excellence in the world as it truly is; in the colors, languages, and people each of us see in our everyday world, not strained by the narrow focus of Advertisers and Tastemakers stuck in the old attitudes of limitation or racial inhibition.
