“Land of The Morees” is a cinematic snapshot of the intricacies of daily life in the small fishing community located on the outskirts of Accra, Ghana. An ongoing project documenting the beautiful culture of Moree and it’s people. I was struck by their hospitality and undying energy of the people when I discovered it while I was embarking on a journey to Elmina earlier in 2022 touring around the Central Region of Ghana. I promised myself to revisit. Then I came back somewhere in October 2022 to explore and bond with the people more as I fell in love with it on my first trip. Capturing the Moreesians has been dear to my heart as I’ll be telling a continuous story of the people and it’s culture.
