Elly Smallwood
Hailing from Ottowa, Canada’s southeastern capital, contemporary artist Elly Smallwood bares her soul through her artworks. Packing her creations with the potency of the familiar, as it merges across the canvas with the queer abstraction of expansive strokes of oils and raw lines of charcoal, as she seeks inspiration from her mind and the lives of those who surround her. Using her painted and sketched works as a means to obliterate social boundaries, in order to form a figurative representation of her visceral views with regards to self and the human condition.
