Fashion designer Stine Goya may perhaps be a name under the industry radar, however, her label has actually been established since the year 2006, and at present is represented in over ninety different countries.

Originally living in the Danish countryside, she made the transition to London in 1999 and in 2005, the freshly faced designer graduated from Central Saint Martins (the world renowned Institute for many aspiring designers), where she studied Fashion Print. Within a year, the Stine Goya label was founded and exposed to the fashion world for all to recognize. Her knowledge, technique, and experiences acquired throughout her degree have since shaped the fundamental foundations that formulate her now successful brand of clothing.

Ever since the birth of her very first collection, a signature fusion of exciting multi-colored, artistic prints juxtaposed with silhouettes which evoke alluring femininity has transpired as Goya’s sartorial aesthetic. Her objective is to create an imprint amidst the transmogrify fashion world and to ultimately design clothing that will encourage women to convey their individualism. A mutual acknowledgment amongst Stine and fashion editors and buyers alike is that her illustrative vision surrounding design, pattern, and color is the result of stimulating innovation amid the Scandinavian fashion scene.

Despite the brand emerging some years ago since its debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Goya’s DNA and vision for her collections have maintained the same ethos – adopting a playful and imaginative attitude in the creations of her striking arrays of clothing and accessories.

The art world serves as a continuous influx of inspiration on Goya’s progressive works, in which the designer has made an incessant effort to spotlight galvanizing and pioneering collaborations with artists. These partnerships are a driving contribution in the ever-evolving creativity of the Stine Goya fashion story, where new chapters are frequently being explored.

The label’s previous sartorial collections capture an awe-inspiring sense of nonchalant femininity with print being at the heart of each and every array. Relaxed jumpsuits, blouses, cargo trousers and ladylike wrap and tea dresses transpire as idealistic daywear options and arrive in a blend of cotton and silks. Slouchy knitted jumpers and soft cozy cardigans contribute to the overriding comfort factor that is a key appeal throughout. Eveningwear sees sumptuous velvets, fringing, metallic and silks that adorn staple separates, occasion dresses and alluring tailored pieces.

The brand’s most recent spring 2018 collection seeks familiar attributes from the world of art, where Shakespeare’s iconic play, Hamlet, is recited throughout the romantic bohemian style of Ophelia, a young noblewoman of Denmark. The 10th-anniversary presentation plays homage to the female character whose clothing is reminiscent of a 21st-century hippie, with long languid dresses that are infused with decoration and drama, whilst conveying a soft edge. The collection depicts expressions of free-spiritedness and femininity, additionally being a celebration of Goya’s decade in fashion.

These qualities are a reflection of Goya’s design objectives: to ultimately encourage women to inject more color in their dressing choices, whilst channeling elements of adventurousness. In conjunction with the brand’s decade celebration, she presented a collection entitled “Flashbackforward”, where a number of iconic pieces were revisited and seen to give a current update. Stine Goya is the new name to note amid the world of feminine and print infused fashion. stinegoya.com
